I am trying to understand the volume and magnitude of what has happened over this past week. I am brokenhearted and am outraged. The acts of the most recent murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery that have taken place have left a disdain and such a bad taste in the mouth of many people of our nation, especially the Black community.

Black Lives Matter. They always have and always will. I stand as a person in a community for grievers to say that as we grieve these horrific deaths, we must take care of us as we are witnessing our present day's continued events. Doing self-care is of utmost importance; Talking a walk, if you can, deep breathing, reading, and connecting with others who can be a support system. The Healing Group Community, LLC, is committed to continuing to provide support to others who need a safe space and place to begin to heal in dealing with grief, loss, and trauma. We have taken steps to continue to maximize our offering by opening Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm to work on collective trauma experienced by grief and loss. If you feel the need to start to work, you can contact us, here.
